Ingredients
- 3 lbs ground beef
- 3 eggs
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 8 slices of bread, torn into pieces
- 3/4 tsp garlic salt
- 3 Tbsp fresh chopped parsley, optional
Sauce
- 16 oz barbecue sauce
- 14 oz spaghetti sauce
- 1 C grape jelly
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13-by-9-inch pan or casserole dish and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, spaghetti sauce, grape jelly, lemon juice, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Blend well and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, onions, bread pieces, garlic salt and parsley, if using. Mix thoroughly and form into 2-inch balls. Place into the pan or casserole dish prepared in step one.
- Pour sauce over meatballs. Cover and bake for 90 minutes. Makes approx. 50 meatballs.
